Chip Ross has been a full time resident of Fernandina Beach since 2013. Married to Faith Ross for 31 years, they live in a 100 year old house that they renovated in the Historic District. If you attend any meeting in the City (except for the Planning Board, it is the same night as the Port Authority meeting) you will find Chip in attendance and engaged. He believes it is critical to attend City committee meetings to remain in touch with the challenges and needs of the City's residents.
As an emergency room physician at Baptist Hospital and a former EMS MEdical Director in a previous community, he has a unique perspective on public health and safety. His professional life has allowed him to develop an understanding of the needs of all members of our community from all walks of life. As a result, he continues to remain committed to maintaining the integrity of the City's diverse neighborhoods.
Elected to the City Commission in 2017, he reaches out to all members of the community to promote collaboration and consensus and still finds time to return all constituents' emails and phone calls.
